Sweet Note Cafe in Kenton Among Recipients of ‘Backing Small Businesses’ Grant Program

American Express and Main Street America announced the grant recipients for the Backing Small Businesses Grant Program on Tuesday.

The Sweet Note Cafe, located in downtown Kenton, was among the winners.

The business is among the 500 small businesses that have been awarded $10,000 through the Backing Small Businesses grant program.

Owner Holly Layman Cannode stated that she is excited for the opportunity to use the funds to make necessary improvements so The Sweet Note Cafe can continue to serve the community for years to come.

American Express and Main Street America initially created the grant program to help economically vulnerable small business owners recover from the COVID-19 pandemic and grow their businesses.
