The Forest-Jackson Public Library has been transformed with a vibrant new look thanks to a unique and colorful mural created by designer Laura Renteria.
Laura Renteria stated that the piece was inspired by one of the most colorful personalities she has ever met, that of her childhood role model Miss Amy. Amy Noel dedicated over 20 years of her life as the children’s librarian at Forest-Jackson Public Library and had a positive influence on patrons at the library, especially children. Amy passed away in March of this year. Laura stated that she was honored to receive the opportunity to create this mural in her memory.
Laura also gave special thanks to her mom and sister, Beitler-Messmer Painting, Karen, Amber, and the Forest-Jackson Public Library for allowing her to work on this special project.
