Obituary for Richard A. Baum Sr.

Richard A. Baum Sr., 76 of Kenton died on Tuesday July 9, 2024, at Kenton Nursing and Rehabilitation. On June 19, 1948, he was born in Kenton, OH to the late John W and Mary (Albert) Baum.  He married Barbara Asay on August 15, 1970, and she survives in Kenton.

Surviving is a son, Richard (Serena) Baum Jr., daughter; Kelli (Darrel) Reese, grandchildren; Ace and Grady Baum, Isabella Hoffman and several nieces and nephews.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents and siblings; Teresa Drumm, Ginny Henderson and John W. Baum.

Richard was a 1966 graduate of Kenton High School and retired from Arvin Meritor after 38 ½ years.  He was a member of Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #428 in Kenton, where he was a Past Governor, and awarded the Pilgrim Degree of Merit.  Richard proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy.

Richard enjoyed golf, woodworking, bowling, and word puzzles.

Military graveside service by Amvets Post 1994 will be held at Norman Cemetery on July 20, 2024, at 10:00 AM.
