Dorothy Jean Cooper, 85, of Kenton, passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2024, while staying with her daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and George Palovcik, in Findlay. She was surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Kenton, on December 26,19378 to Nora and Jack Clark. She was the second oldest of 12 children. She married Paul E. Cooper on March 25, 1957. He preceded her in death July 11, 2009.
Surviving are her three daughters; Debbie (Jim) Newland of Ridgeway, Kathy (Ashley) Heil of Kenton, Brenda (George) Palovcik of Findlay, and a son Paul David Cooper of Kenton; eleven grandchildren; Stacey (Tony) Foster of Cincinnati, Craig (Cristy) Newland of Ridgeway, John (Coury) Palovcik of Perrysburg, Austin Heil (Beka Meller of Kenton, Tyler (Jeanie) Palovcik of Columbus, Emily (Matt) Whitaker of Kenton, Jes Denardo of Indianapolis, Anna (Tommy) Fletcher of Tiffin, Kristin (Brian) Ulrich of Kenton, Hannah Cooper (Corey Whaley) of Florida, Sarah (Brice) Fackler of Kenton, fifteen Great-grandchildren. Dorothy is survived by three sisters; Linda (Mike) Richardson of Kenton, Sandy Star of Galena, and Betty Wireman of Bellefontaine.
In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by two sisters; Judy Ward and Mary Cowan, six brothers; Robert Clark, Richard Clark, Jackie Clark, Bill Clark, Gary Clark, and Larry Clark.
Dorothy attended Kenton Sr. High School and was a member of the class of 1957. After her retirement from Whirlpool, Dorothy was able to take special care of her mother and was able to spend valuable time with her loving family.
Dorothy had an invested interest in playing bingo. She enjoyed spending time with her friends from the Humane Society Sondra Stephans and Carol Crisp. She was an avid OSU football and Cleveland Browns fan.
The family will receive visitors from 1:00 to 2:00 on Thursday August 29, 2024, at SCHINDEWOLF-STOUT-CRATES FUNERAL HOME. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 officiated by Revs Steve Hess and Tom Hanks. A burial will follow at Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hardin County Humane Society and Bridge Hospice, Findlay, OH.
