Kenton City Schools Board Approves New Agreements and Personnel Changes at September Meeting

The Kenton City Schools Board of Education held its September meeting Monday evening.

Athletic Director Brett Purcell introduced four student committee members representing Cheerleading, Girls Soccer, Football and Cross Country, who then each gave a presentation to board members.

An agreement between the Hardin County Board of Developmental Disabilities and Kenton City Schools for aide services for the 2024-2025 school year and an agreement between Health Partners of Western Ohio and Kenton City Schools for the School-Based Health Center from August 1, 2024 to July 31, 2025 was approved.

Several personnel items, including the retirement of Joe Funkhauser, Kenton High School Technology Teacher, were also approved.

Garmann Miller was approved for architect services for the design and construction documents for the Auxiliary Gymnasium at the new Middle and High School building.

The next regular meeting will be held on October 21.
