Burial will follow at Grove Cemetery Committal Building. Friends and family may visit 2 hours prior to the services at the funeral home.

Betty was born in Kenton on November 10, 1927, to the late Pearl and Dorothy (Newbold) Pickering. She married the love of her life, Norman McCune, who preceded her in death in 1995 after 59 years of marriage.

Surviving are her 2 children; Randy McCune and daughter; Jeannie (Chris) Woodruff, grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Pickering and sister, Marilyn Woods.

Betty graduated in 1945 from Kenton High School and worked at the Marion Production Credit Office for 28 years here in Kenton. She also clerked the horse races at the Hardin County Fair for 36 years.

Betty was a member of the Forest United Methodist Church.

She thoroughly enjoyed playing Shoot the Moon with the Elks ladies. Betty also enjoyed taking many trips with her daughter, Jeannie. She was always thankful for the love and care given to her by her son, Randy and the visits with grandson, Brian.

Betty’s family would like to thank her dear friends, Carol Ann Howard and Debbie Breidenbach for all of their love, support and care over the years.

In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to the First United Methodist Church in Forest.
