Funeral services for Jacqueline “Jackie” R. Winegardner will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, September 27, 2024, at the Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton with Pastor Terry Robinson officiating. Friends and family may visit 2 hours prior to services at the funeral home. Burial at Grove Cemetery in Kenton will be private.

Jackie passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2024, at the Lima Memorial Hospital. She was born on October 8, 1965, in Columbus to the late Jack and Marilyn (Secord) Coats. On February 16, 1986, she married Ricky Lee Winegardner, and he preceded her in death on February 6, 2015.

She is survived by her children, Kristye (Eric) Scott, Erick (Peyton) Winegardner, Heather (Heath) Keckler, grandchildren, Kale Mohn, Lyric Tanner, Cooper Winegardner, and Lainey Winegardner.

She was preceded in death by a stepmother, Nancy Coats, siblings and stepsiblings.

Jackie attended Ridgemont Schools most of her life but graduated from Kenton High School in 1984.

She was a manager at McDonald’s for a number of years and also worked at Taco Bell. In her later years, she spent her time being a stay-at-home Nana and homemaker. 

Jackie enjoyed taking classes at the library such as painting and card making. She also enjoyed gardening, reading, and caring for her houseplants. She loved the simple things in life and cared deeply for her grandchildren. She was known for being goofy, loving hard, laughing loud and making others smile. Jackie was a friend to many and will be remembered for her kindness, free spirit and listening ear.

Memorial donations in Jackie’s honor may be made to Mary Lou John Library in Kenton.
