An 18-year-old driver was arrested after a pursuit in Findlay late Monday afternoon.
According to a release, officers from the Findlay Police Department were driving east in the 200 block of Center Street when they observed a westbound vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed.
The vehicle became airborne as it crossed railroad tracks, and when it landed, it went left of center causing the officer to take evasive action to avoid a collision.
The vehicle continued, and officers turned around and initiated a traffic stop.
The vehicle failed to stop and continued at speeds of up to 60 miles an hour through residential streets.
After just over a half mile, the driver pulled into the parking lot of a church in the 200 block of Cherry Street and stopped.
Payton Schuler, of Kentucky, was arrested for fleeing and eluding and issued a citation for reckless operation.
He is being held in the Hancock County Justice Center.
A passenger in the vehicle was released without charges.
There were no injuries or damage as a result of the incident.
