Funeral services for Gary A. McClain will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Friday, September 27, 2024, at the Price-McElroy Funeral in Mt. Victory. Burial will follow at Hale Cemetery. Friends and family may visit 2 hours prior to the services at the funeral home.
Gary passed away on Monday, September 23, 2024, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima. He was born on February 14, 1950, in Kenton to the late Martin and Bernita (Rettig) McClain. He married Pamela Levalley, and they later divorced. On March 24, 2006, he married Manatchaya “Bee” Khantahom and she survives in Ada.
Surviving are 3 sons; Jason (Laurale) McClain of Ada, Marc (Carrie) McClain of St. Mary’s, John (Traci) McClain of Ada, daughter; Rachael (Brent) Jordan of Alger, brother; Martin Gene McClain of Russell’s Point, 13 grandchildren: Angelica, Alyssa, Jonny, Lauren, Marcus, Caiden, Evie, Clayton, Natilyn, Langston, Reese, Aubrey, Presley and 2 great grandchildren, Caley, and Austin.
Gary went to Ridgemont High School and graduated in 1968. After graduation he went on to get 2 separate associate degrees one in accounting and one for electrical tech.
In his younger years Gary liked gardening and canning. He once traveled from Mt. Victory to Georgia in a horse and buggy.
He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, attending his grandchildren’s sporting events and taking care of his dogs, Maggie and Popcorn.
Memorial donations in Gary’s honor may be made to the donor’s choice.
