Franklin D. Liebenthal age 91 of Kenton, died Oct. 1, 2024 at Vancrest of Upper Sandusky. He was born May 22, 1933 in Wyandot Co. to the late Rudolph L. and Ruth E. (Fink) Liebenthal. He married Virginia I. (Payne) Ruch on June 22, 1988, she preceded him in death on Apr. 24, 2015. Mr. Liebenthal is survived by step-children Gene (Trudy) Ruch, KY, Julia (Troy) Heflin, FL, Michael (Kathy) Ruch, Kenton, Lisa (Jim) George, Forest, Jeff (Tina) Ruch, OH, many step-grandchildren and step great grandchildren.

Mr. Liebenthal was a 1951 graduate of Harpster High School. He was a Korean War Veteran serving in the United States Army 82nd Airborne Paratrooper Division. He retired from Rockwell, Kenton and prior to that he worked at B.F. Goodrich. Mr. Liebanthal was a member of the Christian Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Kenton. He enjoyed airplanes, motor cycles and Cadillac cars. He also enjoyed speaking to others about his faith and the comfort it brought him right up until his death.
He was a big man with an even bigger heart. He was generous, kind and willing to help anyone who needed it. He always had a big smile and funny little turn of phrase to share. Everyone who knew him spoke well of him and said how easy he was to love.

Services for Mr. Liebenthal are private. Memorial contributions may be made to World Wide Organization of Jehovah’s Witnesses in care of Bringman Clark Funeral Home 226 E.
