Obituary for Donald A. Young

Donald A. Young, 75 of Ridgeway, passed away Wednesday October 2, 2024, at Blanchard Place.  He was born October 6, 1948, in Kenton, OH. He was the son of the late Cecil and Beatrice (Ulrich) Young. On February 10, 1968, he married Jeanne Keller.

He is survived by his children Scott (Donna) Young of West Liberty, Erica (Devin) Elsasser, Ridgeway and Shauna (Jeremy) Streets, Ridgeway; grandchildren Loryn and Laney Elsasser, Jordan (Hayley) Streets, Jayden Streets, and Gage Church; great-grandchildren Jayce and Akoni Church and brother Ronald U. Young.                                            

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Jeanne and a grandchild.

He was a 1966 graduate of Ridgemont High School and a life-long farmer. 

The family would like to thank the staff of Blanchard Place and Gentiva Hospice for their excellent care.

A visitation will be held Sunday October 6 from 1:00 until 4:00 at SCHINDEWOLF-STOUT-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, 200 Columbus Street, Kenton, OH.  His funeral service will begin at 11 o’clock Monday October 7, With Pastor J Mac Geisinger officiating. A burial will follow in Hale Cemetery, Mt. Victory.
