A Powell woman was seriously injured in a crash involving an Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper on U.S. 23 in Wyandot County Tuesday afternoon.
According to a release from the Bucyrus Post of the Ohio State Patrol, Trooper Jacob Teal was slowing in traffic, when his cruiser was struck from behind by a vehicle being operated by 38-year-old Dara Larochelle, from Powell.
Larochelle was flown to St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo with serious injuries.
Trooper Teal was taken to Blanchard Valley Hospital in Findlay for treatment of minor injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
