A Findlay area man was arrested Thursday afternoon after an investigation that was conducted by the Findlay Police Department.

According to a release, plain clothes units were conducting surveillance on a residence on State Route 12 just west of Findlay.

The occupant of the house, identified as Jeffrey Dahms, has been suspected of multiple commercial break-ins over the last several weeks, and a warrant for his arrest was issued.

While conducting the surveillance, Dahms left the residence in a vehicle heading westbound at a high rate of speed.

The plain clothes units followed him until the suspects’ vehicle suffered a flat tire and was forced to stop.

Dahms was apprehended, and a search warrant executed at his home, where several items of evidentiary value were located.

Dahms is currently incarcerated at the Hancock County Justice Center on two charges of Breaking and Entering.

The investigation is on-going.
