Volunteers Needed for Tornado Recovery Tree Planting at Indian Lake State Park This Friday

Volunteers are needed to help Indian Lake State Park plant trees at the Tornado Recovery Tree Planting from 9am until noon this Friday, October 25th.

A demonstration on proper tree planting techniques will be provided by an Ohio Department of Natural Resources forester at Fox Island.

That will be followed by volunteer teams of 3 to 4 people planting trees at three locations: Fox Island, Lakeview Harbor and Moundwood Marina.

The Indian Lake State Park maintenance team will pre-dig holes for the trees.

Volunteers are requested to bring extra shovels, wire cutters, utility knives, and work gloves.
