Power was off for around an hour in the City of Kenton due to an issue at the substation just south of Kenton.
There was a fire at the site that was believed to have been caused by lightning earlier this morning, and the fire rekindled at around 10:00am.
The transformer had to be replaced, which resulted in power being shut off to the entire city and areas across Hardin County.
Electricity was restored by around 11:20am.
There are still some scattered outages around Hardin County according to AEP Ohio.
There is no word as to when power will be restored to those still affected.
