A project to plant native seeds at the Indian Lake State Park was initiated in the Fall of 2023.
The project focused on areas at Moundwood and Old Field to establish native forbs and grasses.
The staff tilled the areas last fall, frost seeded them and maintained pollinator habitats this year.
Park officials stated that they are already pleased with the progress of these creative native landscapes.
They hope that both wildlife and park visitors will enjoy them for years to come.
