Election Day 2024: Voters Head to the Polls for Key Local, State, and Federal Races

Today is Election Day.

Contested races on the ballot include incumbent Republican Fred Rush versus Write-in candidate Michelle Laubis for the Hardin County Commissioner seat commencing January 2, 2025.

Voters will decide between Democratic candidate Sheila Coressel and Republican Ty Mathews for State Representative in Ohio’s 83rd District.

In the race for Representative to the U.S. Congress 4th District, incumbent Jim Jordan is being challenged by Democrat Tamie Wilson.

There are three county-wide money issues on the ballot.

They are the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office’s one mill replacement tax levy, Hardin County Board of Developmental Disabilities additional .5 mill levy and a .5 mill renewal levy for Mental Health and Recovery Services Board of Allen, Auglaize and Hardin County.

The Riverdale and Ridgemont Schools also have levies on the ballot in those districts.

The polls will be open from 6:30am until 7:30pm today.
