Memorial services for Joseph “Joey” Clay Madison will be held at a later date. The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton is assisting the family with arrangements.

Joey passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at his residence in rural Ridgeway. He was born on March 12, 1984, in Kenton to Richard and Jane (Acton) Madison who both survive in Kenton.

Also surviving are a daughter, Alexis Reprogle, a step-daughter, Cierra Stultz, 3 sisters, Christie Madison, Jennifer (Alan) Mihlbachler, Letitia Lawrence, aunts, Linda (Larry) Henry, Vickie (Tim) Bailey, Vickie Copley, Deb (Joe) Farnic, Colleen Acton, uncles, Larry Acton Trent, Barry Acton, nieces, Sarah (Brandon) Patterson, Hailee Hildreth, Riley Patterson, Annallynne Patterson, Kinslee Patterson, Bexlie Lawrence, Emma (Joe) Barteld, nephews, Logan Madison, Jason Madison, Hunter Lawrence, Kylan Lawrence, Carter Barteld, and a brother-in-law, Red Lawrence.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Clyde and Lela (Nichols) Acton Sr., paternal grandparents, Richard and Violet (Compton) Madison Sr., uncles, Kenneth Nichols, Randy Madison, Jan Acton, Clyde Acton Jr., Jack Acton, Bernard Acton Hurn, aunts, Kimberly Acton, Betty Acton Harrington, and 2 cousins, Tashina Bickle and Chuckie Madison.

Joey was a 2002 graduate of Kenton High School. He also graduated from Hi-Point Career Center with an auto mechanic certification. 

He was a member of the Saponi Nation. He attended The Gathering Place.

Joey was a kindhearted soul that would help anyone that he could. He loved to listen to music and work on anything with a motor.  

Memorial donations in Joey’s honor may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
