Paul V. Wymer age 88 of Upper Sandusky died on Nov. 3, 2024 at Westbrook Assisted Living. He was born July 24, 1936 in North Baltimore to the late Forest and Ethel (Meyer) Wymer. He married Barbara Cooper on Aug. 11, 1957 in First Methodist Church, North Baltimore and she survives in Upper Sandusky, a son Nathan (Beth) Wymer, Columbus, grandson, Zachary, and a son-in-law Kevin Duffey, St. Helena, CA, sister Naomi Moore and a sister-in-law Sylvia Stockwell, both of North Baltimore, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by a daughter Natalie Wymer, brother Robert Wymer, sisters Betty Newcomer, Alice Hough and Barbara Tornberg.
Mr. Wymer graduated from North Baltimore High School and attended Marion Technical College. He was a United States Army Veteran serving from 1955-1957 and a 50 year member of Trinity Church of Christ.
He was a former meat cutter at IGA Grocery, a supervisor at Westinghouse, both of Upper Sandusky and retired from Marion County Department of Human Services. Paul was elected to serve on Upper Sandusky City Council, Upper Sandusky Zoning Board and was member of AmVets #777.
He collected political buttons and other memorabilia. He especially enjoyed the Saturday auctions to add to his old tin toys or die cast cars to his collection. Paul had a very strong work ethic that he passed on to his children. He was exceptionally proud of them and their success in the career that they chose. Paul was very meticulous about his lawn and the beautification of flowers on his property.
A private graveside service was conducted.
