Statistics show that the compliance rate for safety belt usage was 80.8% in 2022.
That increased to 85.75% in 2023.
By gender, the compliance rate for males was 80.6%, and it was 91.7% for females.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol stated that wearing a safety belt continues to be one of the simplest and most effective ways to avoid serious injury or death in a crash.
