The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office is warning residents that scammers are at it again.

They are getting reports from residents that someone is calling and leaving a voicemail telling them they need to speak a Sgt. Johnson with the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office.

There is no Sgt. Johnson at the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office, and these are scam calls.

Residents are urged to not give out personal information.
