Hardin County Commissioner’s Meeting Turns Tense as Local Resident is Asked to Leave

A woman was forced to leave the Hardin County Commissioner’s Meeting on Thursday.

Michelle Laubis was a write-in candidate for Hardin County Commissioner in this month’s election.

She lost to incumbent Republican Fred Rush.

The meetings have been recorded and shared this month on the Hardin County Ohio Voice Facebook group, and yesterday’s meeting was no exception.

Laubis can be heard asking the commissioners to schedule an item to vote on that day, but she is told by Commissioner Roger Crowe that they had a full agenda and asked her to schedule an appointment with the clerk so they could have a proper discussion.

Not satisfied, Laubis continued to press the issue prompting Crowe to ask her to leave for disrupting a public meeting.

The Courthouse security officer was eventually called in and is heard on the video asking her to leave or she would be charged with a criminal offense.

Laubis eventually left without further incident.
