Fatal Accident in Lima Reported Tuesday Morning

A Kenton man was involved in a crash that claimed the life of a bicyclist in Lima at around 6:45 Tuesday morning.

According to a release from the Lima Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, 58-year-old James L. Kidd Sr. was driving west on Reservoir Road, and his pickup struck a bicycle being operated by 38-year-old Luis A. Santiago Garcia, of Bluffton, Indiana.

The bicycle was not equipped with lights in the front or the rear.

Garcia was thrown from the bicycle and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
