Obituary for Betty Esther Sprang

Betty Esther Sprang, age 88 of Kenton, went to heaven December 3, 2024. She was a resident of Vancrest Ada where she leaves behind many friends.

Betty was born June 28, 1936 to the late John Carl and Dorothy (Gerlach) Sprang. She was the second of nine children.

After suffering an illness as a child, she became disabled. Doctors said she would never live past age 10, however, 78 years later she proved them wrong. She attended Harco Industries for over 53 years and was still active up to her death. Betty had a memory like no other. She could tell you everyone’s birthdays and anniversaries. She had nicknames for everyone!

Betty is survived by her brothers and sisters: Dory (Russell Pete, dec.) Warnbrod, Russell (Ann) Sprang, Dale (Mary) Sprang, Jim (Pam) Sprang, Norma (Greg, dec.) Herzog, Dennis (Cheryll) Sprang, Jill (Fred, “Fritz”) Schmidt; 20 nieces and nephews; 39 grand nieces and nephews; 27 great gran nieces and nephews, all whom she loved and they loved her. Her parents and brother, Tom, preceded her in death along with an infant niece.

Funeral Services will be held 11am, Saturday, December 7, 2024 at SCHINDEWOLF-STOUT-CRATES FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Gregg King officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday from 9am – 11am at the funeral home.
