Thelma Elizabeth Lafferty, age 85 of Forest, passed away at home on December 1, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born November 29, 1939 to the late Fred Sheets and Stella (Kelly) Sheets. She married Norman Lafferty on September 29, 1956 and he preceded her in death in 2018. She is survived by three daughters, Sheryl (Gary) Camper of Forest, Tammy (the late Andy) Bordner of Dunkirk, and Tracy (Allen) Huffman of Bellefontaine; brother Gary Sheets; grandchildren, Aubrey, Bo, Carly, Ben, Kyle, Dustin, Derrick, Drew, Hillary, Heather, Adelyn, Avery, Greyson; several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by daughter Jody Camper (Lee Watkins) and son Scott Lafferty in 2022; brothers Ed Sheets, Glen Sheets, Freddie Sheets, Terry Sheets; sisters, Rosemary Kin, Helen Miller, Opal Shoop; and granddaughter Candice Lafferty. She attended school in Forest and attended Heritage Christian Church. She was a dedicated homemaker who enjoyed many hobbies including painting, reading, traveling, baking, playing cards, staying politically informed, and was a dedicated Buckeye’s fan. She loved spending time with her family and supporting all of her grandchildren’s events. Funeral services will be held at 12pm Friday, December 6, 2024 at SCHINDEWOLF-STOUT-CRATES FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Ken Gray officiating. Burial will follow in Hueston Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10am – 12 pm Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Bridge Hospice in her memory and online condolences can be shared by visiting stoutcrates.com
