The Ohio State Highway Patrol reminded those who are interested in becoming a trooper about its Lateral Cadet Program.
The program allows law enforcement officers who have had an Ohio Basic Police Officer certification for at least two years, to engage in a condensed academy training of approximately 12 weeks.
The age requirement to apply is now 20 to 39 years of age.
The uniform policy change now allows tattoos that can be covered.
