Riverdale Student Gives Back

Riverdale student, Callie Sudlow, takes one day a week to give back to others. Callie spends her time volunteering at Gliding Stars of Findlay. Gliding Stars provides individuals with disabilities the opportunity to increase their personal potential through development of ice skating skills. Here is Callie’s reflections about volunteering according to Gliding Stars Facebook page. “Volunteering has always been something that I made a priority in my life. I believe that it is something that both builds up a program, yet also helps build up my own character. This is my first year volunteering at Gliding Stars and it is something I look forward to every week. It truly is a great program and leaves a huge impact on both the skaters and the volunteers. The environment is so uplifting and the smiles are always contagious. Strong connections are made through this easy volunteering opportunity. I am happy to be a part of the Gliding Stars program and wish nothing more than to see it continue to thrive and impact many other lives in the upcoming years!”
