The start of the 2024 Ohio State Fair is only 5 days away. The fair runs July 24th through August 4th at the state fairgrounds in Columbus. The Ohio State Highway Patrol announced that an OVI Checkpoint will be held in Allen County Friday evening. The checkpoint is funded by federal grant funds and is planned to deter and intercept impaired drivers. The exact location of the checkpoint will be announced tomorrow morning. A 20-year-old Lima man was arrested after a shooting in that city Wednesday morning. According to a release from the Allen County Sheriff's Office, deputies were dispatched to the 2000 block of North West Strret in reference to a shooting.
