Riverdale Coach and Player Honored with Blanchard Valley Conference Awards

Photo: Riverdale Local Schools A Riverdale coach and player received Blanchard Valley Conference recognition over the weekend. Maryann Holderman was named Coach of the Year. She is the coach of the Girls' Cross Country team at Riverdale, and her team was champions of the BVC for the 2024 season. Allison Woodruff was the BVC's Runner of the Year.

No Injuries Reported in Sunday Morning Crash in Kenton

Disabling damage occurred to both vehicles, but there were no injuries after a crash Sunday morning in Kenton. According to the report from the Kenton Police Department, 42-year-old Michael Hoel Jr., of Kenton, drove onto Main Street from Walnut, and his pickup truck was struck by a southbound car being operated by 39-year-old Bethany L. Tabor, of Harrod. Hoel was cited for failing to yield from a stop sign.
