Students in grades Pre Kindergarten through 6th grade at Upper Scioto Valley will be participating in Coin Wars this week. The students are encouraged to bring in coins this week to raise money for Relay for Life. The winning class will earn a pizza party. Relay for Life will be held on Friday May 17th. Spring Fest at Market on Main will be held May 11. It will run from 9am until 2pm this Saturday. The market is located on the corner of Main and Ohio Streets in the parking lot behind The Middlefield Banking Company in Kenton. Several road construction projects are anticipated to affect highways in Hardin County next week. According to the Ohio Department of Transportation, U.S. 68 between the village of Dunkirk and the city of Kenton, State Route 67 between State Route 235 and Township Road 235 and State Route 292 between the city of Kenton and the village of Ridgeway, will all be restricted to one lane for pavement repairs. COLUMBUS, Ohio—Ohio Governor Mike DeWine announced today that a Presidential Disaster Declaration has been issued for the FEMA Individual Assistance Program as a result of tornadoes on March 14, 2024. The Presidential Disaster Declaration was issued for Auglaize, Crawford, Darke, Delaware, Hancock, Licking, Logan, Mercer, Miami, Richland, and Union counties.
