It was a brief court appearance today for a man charged with a felony count of kidnapping.

57 year old Charles E. Castle is accused of abducting 7 year old Trinity Hurt from her home in the 600 block of South Leighton Street late Wednesday night November 10.

She was reported missing the next morning.

After an extensive search, a tip received by School Resource Officer Dan Foulk, from the Kenton Police Department, led them to an empty house on County Road 180, where Trinity was found safe late Friday night November 12.

In Hardin County Municipal Court, Castle, through his court appointed attorney Elizabeth Smith, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and the case was bound over to the General Division of Hardin County Common Pleas Court.

Judge Gregory Grimslid continued the amount and terms of the $750,000 bond.
