OSP Issues Numerous Citations During Initiative to Curb Distracted Driving

As a result of this past weekend’s initiative to curb distracted driving, troopers from the Findlay District issued 27 citations for distracted driving.  24 were issued in regard to the new distracted driving law that became enforceable on October 5. Three other citations were issued where a distraction was found to be a contributing factor to the commission of the traffic violation.

Two Men Arrested After Search Warrant was Served at Findlay Residence

Roderick Williams Carlos Harris Two Findlay men were arrested after the Hancock County METRICH Drug Task Force along with the Findlay Police Department Emergency Response Team executed a narcotic search warrant at 1025 Cedar Avenue in Findlay Tuesday night. Alger Man Arrested on Union County Warrant

An Alger man was arrested this week on a Union County warrant. A deputy from the Union County Sheriff's Office traveled to the Allen County Jail this week to take custody of 42 year old Devin C. Pummel for the outstanding arrest warrant. He was transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail.

Hardin SWCD Holding Forestry Field Day

The Hardin Soil and Water Conservation District Forestry Field Day is this Sunday, October 15. It will be held from 1 until 4 that afternoon at 17950 County Road 85 Belle Center. The afternoon will feature family events, including horse-drawn wagon rides. A ham & bean soup meal cooked over an open fire will be served. Also on the menu are corn bread, hot dogs and s’mores.
