The Alger Public Library has announced new fall hours that will start after the Hardin County Fair. HN Elementary Students Practice Timely Bus Safety Drills

Hardin Northern held its annual bus safety evacuation drills Tuesday morning.  The elementary students learned how to evacuate the bus in an emergency, and how to cross the road safely.  This is a timely drill in light of the tragic bus accident in Springfield earlier this week that claimed the life of one student and injured 23 others, one with serious life-threatening injuries.

Open Gate at Yard Waste Facility in Forest Extended

OVI Checkpoint in Hancock County Friday

The Ohio State Highway Patrol announced today the OVI checkpoint will be held in Hancock County tomorrow evening. The OVI checkpoint is funded by federal grant funds. Lieutenant Evan Slates, post commander of the Findlay Post, said OVI checkpoints are designed to not only deter impaired driving, but to proactively remove those dangerous drivers from the roads. The location of the checkpoint in Hancock County will be announced Friday morning.
