KENTON-Hardin Co. Soroptimist International announced the Club 250 winner for week 25. Jeff Lohrber will receive $100. Club 250 is a fundraiser that helps to award scholarships to local women and girls.

Another Slight Decline This Week For Gallon of Gas in Hardin County
The average price for a gallon of gas in Hardin County dropped another 2 cents from last week. AAA reported that the average price for a gallon of regular grade gas is $2.62 today, compared to $2.64 from last week. That makes it the cheapest price in our region. Hardin Community School Conducts Graduation Ceremony
The Hardin Community School held their graduation Thursday afternoon. The ceremony was held at the Kenton Moose Lodge. Among the ten graduates, two graduated as a certified STNA’s, one with a CDL and another with a certification in welding. Hardin Community Foundation Hold Annual Grant Celebration
A Grant Celebration was held Thursday as the Hardin County Community Foundation awarded 2019 grants and scholarships. 137 grants were approved along with 5 scholarships. The total amount awarded was $157,698. The ceremony was held Thursday afternoon at the Armory in Kenton. Grants are awarded from interest earned on the Foundation's principal amount, which as of March stood at 6.9 million dollars.
McDonald Township Road Reopened
A stretch of road in McDonald Township has been reopened following a project. According to the Hardin County Engineer’s Office, County Road 65 was reopened Thursday afternoon. 65 was closed between State Route 67 and County Road 150.
Exotic Zoo Animals Make Visit to Ridgemont Zoo
Ridgemont students were treated to a visit by the Exotic Zoo on Thursday. The Ridgemont Public Library arranged the visit. The Exotic Zoo provides a “Zoo” for the day. The subjects covered are: Endangered and Threatened Animals, Extinction, Unusual characteristics, habits, and mannerisms of each species, Destruction of the Rainforest and its effects on animal and human lives and more.
