Wyandot County Woman Victim of a Scam

A Wyandot County woman was the victim of a scam involving an internet loan company.   According to the Wyandot County Sheriff's Office report, the Harpster woman told deputies that she gave the company identified as Cash Advance Incorporated her bank's routing number and her account number, and the company withdrew money from her account leaving her with a balance of negative $700.   She was advised that this is a scam, and that she would need to contact her […]

Kenton Man Reports Unauthorized Use of Motor Vehicle

A Kenton man reported an unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.   According to the report from the Kenton Police Department, the incident occurred Wednesday and involved a named female juvenile.   The suspect has not been charged at this time, and the an investigation is pending.

The Allen County Sheriff's Office welcomed two new Corrections Officers to the force on Wednesday.   Cole Plaugher is a 2012 graduate of Allen East High School. Area Church Holding Sportsman’s Banquet Saturday

The Heritage Christian Union Church is holding the 3rd Annual Heritage Sportsman's Banquet.   The event will be held from 11am to 3pm this Saturday February 16 at the church located on State Route 37 in Forest.   Four sportsman seminars will be presented, and participants will have a chance to win numerous prizes, including three grand prize Canadian fishing trips.   All events are free and family friendly.

Two Facing Drug Charges in Wyandot County

Two people are facing drugs charges after being arrested on warrants Tuesday in Wyandot County.   According to a release from  Wyandot County Sheriff Michael Hetzel, the Wyandot County Major Crimes Unit was requested by the Ohio Adult Authority to assist in locating delinquent probationers.   Following an investigation, detectives learned that one of the two, 28 year old Andrew J. Kenton City School students are gearing up for a four day weekend.   Kenton will not be in session Friday, February 15, for Staff Professional Development and Monday, the 18th for Presidents’ Day.   Classes will resume Tuesday, February 19.
