Glazed Over Hope for Everhart Fundraiser a Big Success

Glazed Over in Kenton teamed up with Hope for Everhart to host a “Dine to Donate” for Keith Everhart today.  10% of all proceeds from donuts sold at Glazed Over today were donated to the Hope for Everhart Fund.  The fundraiser included all sales in-store and custom orders.  Glazed Over reported that they were sold out well before closing at noon.

ONU Engineer Day at KES

Ohio Northern Engineer Day was held at the Kenton Elementary School this week. On March 1, students from Ohio Northern University's Engineering Department visited KES to make ramps with the kids. They also taught them about force and motion. Students had lots of fun while learning during the day.

HN 2nd Graders Celebrate Read Across America Day

Pictured left to right-Lincoln Crossman, River Hamlin, and Jaclyn Shirk Thursday was Read Across America Day. To celebrate, the Hardin Northern second grade class had a theme day "America Runs on Reading!" They had 8 stations filled with different genres. There were fiction, non-fiction, poetry, graphic novels, novels, biographies, Dr. Seuss books, and their favorite the teacher favorite station. They even got to enjoy some donuts.

Marion Police Make a Child Pornography Arrest

Jon Vitello A 38 year old man from Marion was arrested on Wednesday for pandering obscenity involving a minor. According to a release from the Marion Police Department, Jon Vitello was arrested after the Ohio Internet Crimes against Children Task Force alerted the department about the crime.
