MLJ Library Coat, Scarf, Sock and Glove Drive Enters Final Week

The Mary Lou Johnson Hardin County District Library's 5th Annual Coat, Scarf, Sock and Glove drive continues. This week, 84 items were donated to two local charities, Helping Hands and JoAnns Closet. Those items included 12 coats, 32 hats, 8 scarves, 18 gloves or mittens, 2 snow pants and 2 pairs of socks.  Both organizations give clothing away for free. Electricity Restored to Area Residents by 7:30 this Morning

On again, off again power issues impacted residents of Hardin County throughout the night. Thousands of customers were affected, some for longer stretches. No official cause was given. The first outage was reported at around 2:40 this morning. American Electric Power had electricity restored to most customers by just before 7:30 this morning.

Flags at Half Staff for Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day

Flags are being flown at half-staff today as ordered by Ohio Governor Mike DeWine and in accordance with orders from President Biden. It is to honor the lives lost on December 7, 1941 in the attack on Pearl Harbor. All flags of the United States and the State of Ohio were ordered to be flown at half-staff upon all public buildings and grounds throughout the state until midnight tonight.

The Upper Scioto Valley Basketball Cheerleaders will be hosting a Mini Ram Cheer Camp January 9 through the 12. It will be held from 3:15 until 4:30 on those afternoons and is for anyone in preschool to sixth grade. The performance will be Friday January 13 during halftime at the Varsity game against Perry.
