WASHINGTON, Oct. 19, 2022 – Agricultural producers can now change election and enroll in the Agriculture Risk Coverage (ARC) and Price Loss Coverage programs for the 2023 crop year, two key safety net programs offered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). Ohio Governor Mike DeWine visited the region this afternoon. DeWine was at Tri-Rivers Career Center in Marion to learn more about the school's Robotics Advanced Manufacturing Technology Education Collaborative program.  The program is a collaboration between Tri-Rivers Career Center, Marion Technical College, and The Ohio State University at Marion. It is designed to address the skills gap by training high school students in industrial robotics, advanced manufacturing, and engineering.

The next Hardin County Chamber and Business Alliance Community Coffee will be held Tuesday, November 1 at 8:00 a.m.  The meeting will be held in the Alliance Conference Room at 225 South Detroit Street in Kenton. Julli Griesheimer of Wings Support and Recovery will be the guest speaker. The Hardin County Board of Revision has scheduled a meeting. It will be held Tuesday November 1. The meeting will start at 8:30 that morning in the County Auditor’s Office on the Second Floor of the Hardin County Courthouse in downtown Kenton.

Motivational speaker and author Terrence Talley is coming to Kenton. He will speak to students and the community on November 1.  Talley will speak to Kenton City School students from 1st grade up.  At 7 that evening, the community is invited to a 10 Talents concert and presentation by Talley in the Kenton High School gym.

One road closed and another reopened on Monday October 24. According to the Hardin County Engineer's Office: .County Road 10, between Township Road 25 and Township Road 35, is closed for three to four weeks for a culvert replacement project. .Township 110, between State Route 53 and County Road 175 reopened on Monday. That stretch of road has been closed since mid September for a bridge replacement project.
