Elida Man Killed in Semi Crash on I-75 in Allen County

An Elida man was killed in a crash involving a semi on I-75 in Allen County Tuesday morning. According to a release from the Lima Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, 65 year old David Jackson lost control of the semi while traveling north on 75. The vehicle went off the right side of the road and struck the Bible Road overpass. Jackson was pronounced dead at the scene. […]

OSP Marion Post Releases Results of Recent OVI Checkpoint

The Ohio State Highway Patrol, in conjunction with the Marion City Police Department and Marion County Sheriff’s Office held an OVI checkpoint this past weekend.   The checkpoint was held on Mount Vernon Avenue near Forest Lawn Boulevard in the City of Marion. Officers made contact with 610 vehicles that passed through the checkpoint.  5 vehicles were diverted for further investigation and 1 impaired driver was arrested for OVI.

The Hancock County Sheriff's Office has been getting a rash of calls from people  getting calls claiming to be from the Sheriff's Office. People receiving the calls are being told that there are warrants for their arrest.
