Hardin County 4-H Member has Successful Day 2 at Ohio State Fair

Another Hardin County 4-H member had a big day at the Ohio State Fair in Columbus. Kathryn Russell, of Goshen Youth 4-H Club, received an Outstanding of the Day at the Ohio State Fair 4-H Creative Arts Day. The award was presented for her Self-Determined Origami project. Outstanding of the Day is given to the top 5% for each project.

Ridgemont Board Accepts Resignation of Superintendent

Ridgemont Superintendent Sally Henrick submitted her resignation at the July meeting of the Ridgemont Board of Education Thursday evening. One person was sentenced recently in Hardin County Common Pleas Court. According to the document from Prosecutor Brad Bailey's Office: .Terry L. Vanhoose was placed on two years community control with conditions on one count each of attempted aggravated possession of drugs and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia. Expect Lane Restrictions During Hardin County Road Projects Next Week

Construction projects are anticipated to affect traffic in Hardin County next week (Week of August 1). The following locations will have lane restrictions:  U.S. 68, which is Main Street in the village of Dunkirk.  State Route 31, between the city of Kenton and the village of Mt. Roundabout Project on SR 309 Nearing Completion

Public Eye Focuses on Alzheimer’s Association

Alumni and Open 5K Race at KHS Saturday

The Kenton High School will host an Alumni and Open 5K Race tomorrow. Registration will begin at 8 Saturday morning. The race starts at 9. The cost is $20 for participants, and $30 with a shirt. It is free to all present and past Kenton Cross Country Runners.

Fruit and Vegetable Crop Walk

Hardin County – There is a segment of agriculture in southeastern Hardin County that specializes in commercial fruit and vegetable production. Hardin County is also home to the Scioto Valley Produce Auction near Mt. Victory where much of this produce is sold.
