Forest Village Offices Closed Today

(Friday June 24, 2022) The village offices in Forest will be closed today. Village officials made the announcement along with an apology for any inconvenience on the Village of Forest Facebook page. The closure was due to unexpected circumstances. Payments can be made online at: villageofforest.com The offices will reopen Monday (June 27) at 8:00 am.

Alger Church Serving Free Meal s

Alger First United Methodist Church is serving monthly meals at the Community Outreach Center in the village. The June meal will be served from 4:30 until 6pm on Wednesday June 29. On the menu are hamburgers, hot dogs, baked beans, chips and ice cream. You can dine in or carry out, and there is no charge. Delivery is available by calling 419-204-7910.

A search warrant was executed at 340 West Railroad Street in Kenton Wednesday. According to a release from the Hardin County Task Force, the search resulted in the seizure og 6 firearms and ammunition, unmarked pills, 59.1 grams of crystal-like substance, 21.77 grams of a brown substance, $910 cash and drug abuse instruments. An arrest was made after a domestic dispute that was reported to the Kenton Police Department at around 7 Wednesday evening. According to the report, officers were dispatched to a residence in the 600 block of Robinson Avenue. The incident involved a boyfriend and girlfriend at the residence. Champion of Broadband Award Ceremony in Ada on June 28

Ohio's Broadband and Cable Association will hold its inaugural Champion of Broadband Award Ceremony next week in Ada. The ceremony will honor Ohio Lieutenant Governor Jon Husted. The award has been established to recognize Ohioans who are leading advocates of broadband connectivity in the state.
