Kenton Officials Discuss Need for More Tornado Sirens with Hardin County Commissioners

At a recent meeting, the Hardin County Commissioners received information on a tornado siren for the Kenton area.   Kenton Mayor Lynn Webb and Kenton Fire Chief Bruce Donnelly stated that some areas are not hearing the one siren clearly.  They would like to add an additional four sirens at a cost of $30,000 per siren.  They will submit for a Hazardous Mitigation Grant which is a 25% match.  Since it […]

Car Fire Reported at Forest Court Apartment Complex Monday

A car was destroyed by fire Monday afternoon. According to the information from the Kenton Fire Department, the vehicle was parked in the  G Building parking lot at Forest Court Apartments. The vehicle was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived and was destroyed. It was unoccupied at the time, and the cause of the fire has not yet been determined. Thursday is Career Exploration Day for Ridgemont 7-12 Students

Career Exploration Day for Ridgemont students in grades 7-12 is scheduled for this Thursday March 24. All students must bring proof of attendance from their location that they choose.  Also on Thursday, there is no school for students in grades Kindergarten through 6 for Parent Teacher Conferences.  There is no school at Ridgemont this Friday, March 25th for Teacher Professional Development Day.

Findlay Police Department Welcomes Two New Officers

The Findlay Police Department announced the hiring of two new police officers.   Jacob Frank and Jacob Hollis were sworn in Monday morning. Early bird passes for the 2022 season at the Kenton City Pool are on sale now. A pass for a family of 5 ages 6 and up cost $125. Additional family members are $35 each.
