Ohio Governor Mike DeWine will discuss details of a statewide plan to support local law enforcement agencies at a news conference in Columbus today.
Governor DeWine will outline the plan before hundreds of law enforcement professionals attending the Ohio Narcotics Intelligence Center’s Law Enforcement Drug Summit in Columbus.
DeWine created the center in 2019 to assist local authorities in unraveling complex drug trafficking investigations through analysis of cell phones and other electronics.
To date, teams across Ohio have assisted local law enforcement with more than 3,200 criminal investigations and have examined evidence contained in more than 7,500 cell phones.
