A driver was arrested for driving under the influence after a weekend traffic stop in Wyandot County.
According to the report from the Wyandot County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to investigate a 9-1-1 call regarding a vehicle traveling the wrong way on US 23.
The vehicle was located traveling south in the northbound lane of 23 and a traffic stop was initiated.
The driver, identified as Brian T. Bigler, of Galion, told deputies he was driving home to Mansfield.
The deputy said he could smell a strong odor of alcohol on Bigler’s breath and a field sobriety test was conducted.
Based on the results, Bigler was arrested and was transported to the Upper Sandusky Police Department where a breath test was conducted.
As a result, Bigler was cited for operating a vehicle while under the influence. He was also issued a citation for a divided highways violation.
