Former NFL Coach and HN Grad Visits School

The Hardin Northern 5th grade music classes got to hear guest speaker Dean Pees this week.

He shared his love for music, for football, and for Hardin Northern. 

Pees, a 1967 graduate, is a 3-time Super Bowl winning coach and talked about his time coaching at the college level and in the NFL. 

He encouraged the kids to work hard in school and in life, and reminded them that growing up in a small school gives them opportunities to be involved in a wide variety of activities.

He explained that he is grateful that he was able to be involved in athletics, plays, band, and choir during his time growing up at the school. 

Pees, also a pianist, played a song for the students that he composed for Bowling Green State University’s graduation several years ago.
