The Hardin County Historical Museums has a booth in the community building at this year’s Hardin County Fair.

Director Sheena Striker talks about what visitors will find, “We are celebrating the 125th anniversary of the founding of McGuffey, so we have pictures of the Scioto Marsh, and onion strike and just different documentation about when McGuffey was founded. We also have an article honoring the Korean War veteran who was just brought home to Alger, and so we’re just celebrating all things McGuffey and Alger.”

She added that the museum likes to shine the spotlight throughout Hardin County, “The Hardin County Museum is not just about Kenton, it’s about the entire county, and so that’s what we are promoting this year. We’re hoping throughout the next year to do displays about the different towns in Hardin County.”

The Hardin County Fair runs through this Sunday September 12 at the fairgrounds in Kenton.
