A juvenile who was involved in an officer involved shooting incident Monday evening in Findlay has died.
According to a release from the Findlay Police Department, officers were dispatched at just before 6:30 to Bernard Park in the 1100 block of Bernard Avenue in the city to investigate a report about three juveniles who were consuming alcoholic beverages.
When officers arrived, one of the male suspects fled on foot and an officer pursued him.
During the foot pursuit, the juvenile discharged a firearm at the officer, who then returned fire, striking the juvenile.
Officers on scene immediately rendered first aid, and the juvenile was transported to Blanchard Valley Hospital and later to a Toledo hospital, where he died today.
The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation was contacted and is leading the investigation.
