The Ohio Department of Transportation is investing in Kenton City Schools by increasing traveler safety at the intersection of Township Road 114 and State Route 53.

The ODOT District 1 Safety Review Team recommended the purchase of right-of-way for sight distance improvements at the intersection in what they call a “sight triangle.”

Superintendent of Kenton City Schools Chad Thrush stated that the intersection sees heavy traffic now as parents drop off Kenton Elementary students, and that will only increase once the new Middle and High School building is opened.

The superintendent added that he is thankful for ODOT’s investment in making sure students can get to and from school safely.
