Kenton Woman’s Two Children Claimed on Another Person’s Tax Return

An incident reported to Kenton police on Wednesday is being investigated as a theft.

According to the report, a Kenton woman told officers that someone claimed her two children on their tax return.

That resulted in a loss of $5000 in tax return money to the victim.

A 37 year old Lakeview woman is facing a felony charge of theft.

The incident remains under investigation.
