KPD News: Attempted Carjacking; Man Arrested for Burglary

A possible attempted carjacking was reported to Kenton Police Monday morning.

 

According to the report, officers were called to Wharton Park on Riverside Avenue to investigate.

 

A knife was said to have been brandished during the incident.

 

The victim suffered apparent minor injuries during the encounter.

 

The suspect was a stranger to the victim.

 

The incident is under investigation.

A Kenton man was arrested after an incident reported to Kenton Police Monday evening.

 

According to the report, officers were dispatched to 500 Letson Avenue in reference to a theft report.

 

After an investigation, the suspect, identified as Darren Wallace, age 34, was arrested.

 

He was charged with robbery, burglary and aggravated trespass.

 

The victims in the incident were not injured.
